R.I.P. Gene Colan

Wallace Wood may not have ever even met Eugene Colan but this 1970 CAPTAIN AMERICA tale showed that the artists' unique styles paired up splendidly! Not quite awake yet so I could be wrong but I believe this was their only collaboration. Here are a couple of choice pages.

From CANNON--a couple of nice panels of fighting planes that somehow missed any topless women in them.

Strange Symphonies

This is the original version for the naughty little cover that was later used on the third and final, posthumous, issue of GANG BANG. Not sure what STRANGE SYMPHONIES was intended by Wood to be.

Disneyland Orgy T-Shirts

Here's yet another piece on the infamous Disneyland Memorial Orgy, this one dealing with how the equally infamous Malcolm McLaren co-opted some of Woody's art for dirty T-shirts in his UK punk emporium, SEX (for which the Sex Pistols were named).

Dynamo Original Art Splash
