Alan Kupperberg writes: Though Woody set the direction of the Starzan sequence in Sally Forth (the whole story was to set up the "Starzan Stripes Forever" gag), I penciled and rough scripted and lettered and inked the backgrounds on almost the entire sequence. Woody left the Groucho Marx character completely in my hands as I knew all of Groucho's dialogue by heart.
Nick Cuti was nowhere in evidence in those days. He had moved on by then.
