Wood on Flickr

The ever-helpful Ronn S refers us to this link where someone has posted a ginormous amount of Wood art from nearly every phase in his career...along with some Paul Kirchner work from NATIONAL SCREW that they've mis-identified (even though they note that it was signed "Kurt Schnurr" they apparently did NOT make the connection). Thanks, Ronn!

  1. This is a nice collection of Wood Works. As an aspiring artist I'd love to know what artists Wally Wood studied for his anatomy.

  2. I don't have a certain answer. But many years ago, I bought one of Dover Publications' books of artist's anatomy by George Bridgman. The way Bridgman constructs the body is closer to Wood than Burne Hogarth, Will Eisner or any other illustrator I can think of.
