Often cited as an example of a near-perfect superhero story from the early peak of the so-called Marvel Age of Comics, here's Stan Lee and Woody with DAREDEVIL # 7, IN MORTAL COMBAT WITH...SUB-MARINER. Never minding the issue's overall quality, it's also the debut of DD's red costume, designed by Woody and lasting to this day (with only the occasional interruption). At the time, some young fans misinterpreted the shadows on the costume and would complain that the artist drew the "black parts of the costume" inconsistently!
