Travis
Out of all of Woody's sidekicks, one might argue that, at least in the seventies, the most successful were Nick Cuti and Wayne Howard, both of whom were quite prolific at Charlton Comics. Here's a link to a 1974 story written by the former and drawn by the latter. It seems to have been a series tryout but never went anywhere.

PLOPular Poetry
Here's a link to the TOPPS-like PLOPULAR POETRY feature that ran alphabetically (but incompletely) in DC's odd humor mag of the mid-seventies, PLOP. Initially, Basil Wolverton supplied the covers but Wood appeared with a couple of great interior stories. Later on, Woody took over the cover and provided this regular silly feature.
Googling Against the Grain
We've said before here that there is no better source for Wood info than Bhob Stewart's thick 2003 volume AGAINST THE GRAIN: MAD ARTIST WALLACE WOOD. Well, if you don't have one, even a used copy will currently set you back $90.00 on Amazon. Today I noted, however, that GOOGLE BOOKS "previews" AGAINST THE GRAIN with a whopping 275 of its 329 pages! That's some preview! It's a Sunday. Surely if you're reading this blog, you have nothing more important to do today than to get up to speed with all the great Woodwork, biography, history, rumor and anecdotes herein.

Menthor
Here's a nifty original art splash featuring T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agent MENTHOR as spotted over at RANDOM ACTS OF GEEKERY. This mid-sixties page looks to me like it could be by Wood and Reese.
UPDATE: Alan K, who knows more about these things than I do, sees this as Wood inking veteran artist John Giunta.
